A virtual meeting

A: "Did you have a good day off yesterday?"
B: "Yep! Always great to have a Monday off. What about you?"
A: "Well, I took some time yesterday to catch up on emails. I'm not Inbox Zero, but I'm virtually caught up on all my emails."
B: "That sucks you had to do that, but at least you're almost caught up. I've given up hope that I'll ever be caught up trying to manage two different work email accounts."
A: "That's why you get the big bucks. Oh, yesterday I also virtually met with Tom."
B: "That's too bad you missed him."
A: "No, I had a call with him."
B: "Oh, I thought you meant you almost met with him."
A: "I had a virtual zoom meeting with him."
B: "Oh I see. How's he doing?"
A: "He's great, but he said he had a close call the other day that shook him up."
B: "What happened?"
A: "Someone ran a red light and almost broadsided him. It was a near miss."
B: "Did he get hurt?"
A: "No, he swerved and the car missed him completely but it was close."
B: "That shouldn't be called a near miss. It should be called a near hit! A collision is a near miss. Look at that car wreck. They nearly missed!"

Thanks to George Carlin for the inspiration with one of my all-time favorite bits about flying.
Nice one... Yeah I remember that from Carlin. The man was a genius!
