I had an interview today

I was invited to a second-round interview with one client today. The position is for a manager role, and since I am currently in the role of configuration manager they wanted my input. Normally, consultants do not participate in the interview process because of the potential conflict of interest. The interview included the candidate, another manager, and the COO.

We attempted to use Teams, and the candidate started with his webcam on. Unfortunately, the audio got choppy and he decided to turn the webcam off. Apparently, he had kids at home doing schoolwork so he was maxing out his bandwidth. The audio was still intermittently choppy, but it was enough for us to have a meaningful interview for the most part.

We didn't have a script. I think we all asked very good questions, and he had good responses to all of them. I didn't detect any red flags. After the one-hour interview, I submitted my notes (4 pages and 1900 words). I know few people who can type fast enough to pull that off. The other managers appreciated the effort. I wonder if this stunt will cause me to be wrangled into more interviews. I don't mind helping the client, especially if I can provide feedback that will help them select the right candidates for the roles.
Ever since you claimed that can type insanely fast on 200WAD I wanted to have a typeoff with you. Maybe we can coordinate something?

What kind of wpm records are we talking about here? I was at around 140-160 in high school :P. Now I'm almost certainly much slower though.

also, it's awesome that you were willing to sit in on the interview. It's a service both to the client and the candidate.

Wow 140-160 is MVP performance! I don't remember what I had in high school except that I remember the teacher refused to compete with me in front of the class at some point.
