A newsletter that pays you

I've been listening to Episode 506 of The Tim Ferriss Show where Tim interviews Balaji Srinivasan. Balaji is the former CTO of Coinbase and former general partner at Andressen Horowitz. He's got a BS/MS/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Chemical Engineering, all from Stanford University. Suffice it to say this guy is high-powered.

At the 1H 8M mark, Tim asks the question, "If someone handed you $100,000 or $100M today, how would you use it?" Balaji's first answer (to maximize returns) is to put 1/2 into Bitcoin and 1/2 into Ethereum. Tim followed up by asking if that's what Balaji would personally do, and this is where things got interesting.

Balaji is starting a new adventure at 1729.com. 1729 is not a date but rather represents a special number in mathematics: it is the smallest number that can be expressed as the sum of two cubes in two different ways.

1729 = 1^3 + 12^3 = 9^3 + 10^3

At 1729.com, you can sign up to learn skills and earn crypto. Balaji refers to it as the first newsletter that pays you. It has a regular feed of paid tasks and tutorials with $1000+ in crypto prizes per day. If that isn't enough for you, Balaji starts talking about his theory for the next evolution of education, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.

this is a must-listen for you. If you pretend not to have time to listen to the whole episode, start at the one-hour mark.

I already signed up and submitted my newsletter for one of the tasks. Fun fun.
I'm in!  Definitely going to listen and look into 1729.  Crypto and the next evolution of education...sounds fantastic!
