Seeing my own flaws. to progress and leave behind my worst habits I must be able to see what's pulling me one direction or another. I must clearly see my own flaws but my mind is hiding it from me. My own mind sabotaging me. This is how it always happens, some people have it easier others never get to know. Most don't even care.
I cared enough to use fine motor control to be able to click on that comma just to read this post. 😎

This is one of my biggest fears. It is easy for me to see problems with others but I could potentially have a huge blind spot when it comes to myself. I find that I watch my parents and siblings to see what they have blind spots about. Most likely, I may have the same. The best you can do is try and observe yourself and see any patterns. Seeking to see where your biases lie is a good first step in my opinion.

I believe the most effective way to tricking yourself into seeing these flaws is to be shown it by someone close to you that you respect deeply.

yes, i think that is one way, but it means that you as an individual must reliquish an autonomy of sorts, the autonomy of knowing my own self.  I should listen and believe what someone else tells me about myself. I've got to run it through my own filter (which is biased by designed)

I think a healthy relationship with autonomy is what makes a person wise
