Everywhere purple. The town is overran with people dressed in purple. Traffic is at a stand still, this is not good. The oldman needed to get to Big Lots. It was their last day but the purple guests had made town a mess. This is unacceptable, but the deals would be over soon. High noon was the time of the event that brought the people in purple to town. Tim should be here for this event. He'd just laugh at all their optimism, pffffr Tim was a man that only father time beats. It was a historical fact that Tim was a man that could not be stopped by other men. But father time is undefeated and father time beat Tim on Oct 23 2024. So, I can not let these men stop me from getting to Big Lots. Only father time could keep me from Big Lots today! A plan must be made. Like a salmon on mission to spawn I must swim upstream against the tide and current of everyone moving toward the stadium, as Big Lots was in the opposite direction. Traveling west directly though town would not work. I would go south toward Neademore then west to Kirksville then east back to the growing west side yet failing Big Lots because cheap foodstuffs and home goods were waiting. A short while later I was leaving with a shopping cart full of one dollar mops and brooms, cases of Snickers Iced coffee in 12 packs of cans and 8 packs of glass bottles for $4.99 each, Pepperidge Farms cookies and pies for unbelievable prices of 3.49 and 2.49 each and three bottles of spicy ranch salad dressing for 69 cents each. But the best bargain was a large NuWave convection oven for the incredible price of only $20 dollars! These bargains could be a sense of pride for years to come! The return trip would be short and quick. The noon game was still ongoing with the outcome unknown. But this bargain hunter was already victorious.
