The Child.

My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
And I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety.
- William Wordsworth

I love that poem. Especially the line, "The Child is father of the Man."

It posits the idea the dreams that drive a man are the dreams of his youth or childhood.

Much more, it's about not losing the joys of youth. We should try our best to retain that simplicity of heart.

It's hard because as we grow through life, experiences happen to us which shapes us. We call them lessons. Sometimes these lessons, change our outlook on life forever; how we approach life, how we see and relate with people, some aren't even sure if humans are worth it, what about trust? what's that? damn trust.

To be honest, more often than not these "lessons" are valid.

But my point is, if you can retain the joys of your youth, please do it. Our world needs people like that.
