Happiness

Three incidents today.

First.
An acquaintance made a Facebook post, celebrating his MSc programme graduation. He wrote a defied-the-odds post with several pictures and videos of himself triumphant and happy.

Second.
A teenager came to show me her Mid-term Maths Test sheet. She got 9 in 10. She was happy.

Third.
A middle-aged man who has worked in several banks made a very lengthy post celebrating his new AWS Certification. The post is lengthy, he tagged everyone who was of benefit to him in the journey, you could tell he defied the odds in getting that certification.

I noticed how each of these guys found happiness and triumph in different things. That really fascinated me. Maybe it's because an Msc doesn't mean anything to me right now or I don't have mid-term tests to worry about or perhaps AWS certification is not top of my priority at the moment.

When I saw that lengthy LinkedIn post, the three incidences came together and it occurred to me that Happiness is found wherever we label it as so. Triumph is personal. Happiness is in the heart of the actor/beholder.

That fact makes life beautiful.
