Preliminary Finals

It's Friday night, the football is about to start, and tonight it's the first of the two Preliminary Finals. It is the last hurdle for four teams, with the two winners playing in the Grand Final in two weeks.

Tonight's game is between the Melbourne Demons and the Geelong Cats. The Melbourne Demons have not won a premiership in fifty-seven years and have been the best team all year. They are the sentimental favourites to win the game tonight and go on to claiming the premiership flag. The Geelong Cats last had premiership success in 2011, but they have many players out due to injury. They will go into tonight's game as the underdogs, but I don't think they can beat the Demons.

Tomorrow night's second Preliminary Final is between the Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide Power. The Western Bulldogs have lost form in recent weeks, and though they have been able to win both finals games to date, they are just hanging there. However, Port Adelaide is hitting their stride at the right time, and I think they will be too strong for the Bulldogs.

So, my prediction is a Melbourne Demons versus Port Adelaide Power Grand Final, and I think the Power will be too strong and triumph over the Demons in the Grand Final in two weeks.
