One of the conditions of getting Louie the Groodle from the breeder for nothing was that the breeder could access Louie as a breeding dog until he was five years old. Then, twice a year, Louie would get to rendezvous with an arranged mate to breed other little Louies, just like him.
A Groodle is a crossbreed between a Golden Retriever and a Miniature Poodle. They are very intelligent with a gentle and affectionate nature. They are active and need regular exercise, and respond exceptionally well to obedience training. With those traits, it is not surprising that a Groodle puppy of good breeding can fetch upwards of $8,000. Pandemic puppies have sky-rocketed in price.
Friends of ours who have been mesmerised by Louie have asked if they can get one of his offspring. Unfortunately, it is not up to us, so we have referred them to the breeder. They will need to go on the waiting list, though, as Groodle puppies are very popular.
Louie is fit and ready to perform his duty. He will head off today for a date with Trixie, and if he is successful in his quest, a litter of little Louies will result. That’s my boy!
