No passengers allowed

I have written many times about how much I enjoy my roadster and how I enjoy a spirited drive on the road from time to time.

The thing is about a spirited drive is that they are best done on your own. I may want to show off a little by taking a passenger, but it is not as fun if I have to consider my passenger's comfort. My daughters have felt a little queasy after coming on a winding road drive with me—sorry, girls.

I would freely admit that I am not a good passenger. I'm not too fond of not having control over a car when it is being driven to the road's limit by someone else.

When I'm driving on winding roads, I don't go out of my way to make my passengers feel uneasy. So far, I haven't had anyone tell me to stop the car and let them out. But, I have had one or two people ask me to slow down a little, especially my wife.

I have concluded that if I want to enjoy a spirited drive within limits, I shall do it alone. Therefore, there will be no passengers allowed.
