I am sitting here in my chair, contemplating what to write, when my eyes grow heavy and I nod off to sleep. This is what happens when I have a late night, I fade the next day very quickly.
Awake again, I'm am now rubbing my eyes and I am finding it hard to focus on the task at hand. Fatigue and tired, I can't stop yawning. I just can't last out the day on only four hours of sleep.
I am fortunate that I don't tend to have sleeping issues. I fall to sleep quickly and get about 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night. I am a notoriously early riser, and so I always need to get to bed earlier to ensure I do get enough sleep.
We all naturally tire as we get older, but not getting enough sleep doesn't help. As people grow older, sleep is probably becoming less satisfying and less restorative. That may be a part of the natural aging process, but it might also have something to do with a person's health overall. Deterioration in sleep follows general health to a closer degree than it does chronological age.
I can't stay awake any longer, time to sleep. Zzzzzzzzzz!
