Talking from experience can be one thing that helps a writer to stand out from others. Everyone has a unique set of life experiences that can shape how they write. We can learn from our successes and failures and then capture our insights and feelings into what we write.
As a form of expression, writing provides me with a mechanism to express those experiences. In doing so, I try and be as genuine as possible. If, along the way, a reader can relate to my experience and possibly learn from it, then I can be satisfied with a job well done. I am confident the more I write, the better I will become at idealising what to write, structuring it better, and having something meaningful to say.
As I have said before, some days, I feel that I have written something meaningful, other days, I think I am just writing filler. Nevertheless, my stories, anecdotes, and musings frequently reflect the point in time in which they are written. They may not have any context or relevance for others, but they often express my life's experience.
