who was he? was this real?

Who the hell was he? He thought this? Was he Kevin? Or was he Marc Love? Or George Baker? He had lost track of who he was. All he knew was he had an ex and she had turned into a dog. He missed her. Even though when she was a dog he wasn't attracted to her. Why was that he thought? She could be the most beautiful dog in the world and he wouldn't have the same urge he did with her when she was a human. It wasn't like humans were that attractive. In fact compared to a lot of animals they were kind of ugly. Less elegant.

Who was he though? Was he locked in a hotel room somewhere? Or was he driving back to his... damn where did he live? He din't know. He just saw a parking lot to a cafe. In a small town. The lighting was different like he was living in a memory. Was this real? he wondered.

Who cared whether this was real. He was experiencing it. So might as well roll with it. He grabbed the car door handle. It was difficult to reach out with his hand like this. But with a lot of effort he was able to move his hand towards it. Then he pulled and the door opened. Outside the air felt like midwest autumn. It was chilly. Crisp. Like his mom would have apple pie waiting for him once he got home. He walked towards the cafe. The front of it had large glass windows that were slightly fogging up.
