As soon as he opened the door he felt the air. It was warmer inside. Not in a bad way like a sweaty locker room, but instead inviting. It drew him in. Reminded him of those autumn days when he'd come home with a runny nose on a chilly October, surprised by how dark it was for not even being past five. Well it would be five... but the fact that the clock would say five thirty five still meant five to him.

His mom seemed to cook the best food around this season. Soups and baked goods. In the summer it was more colder stuff like salads and sandwiches. But autumn, especially in the thick of it was good.

He snapped out of this once the bell dinged. He looked back. A real bell. Not a digital one. He had been here at one point in time. Maybe he hadn't been him though. He had been somebody else watching him come through the door and noticing the bell. To look back at it and think "how nice it is to have a real life bell".

He snapped out of this once the barista said "Welcome in!" He didn't know what he would order. But he knew as soon as he went up to the counter and said hello and was asked what they serve him, he would know.
