I saw this quote somewhere today:
“Entrepreneurship is about acquiring skills, beliefs, and character traits.”
It is interesting that wealth creation isn't mentioned in there. I guess the one thing that is certain is that you will need to have many different types of skills starting out...before you can hire or outsource things. You will definitely have to be patient. Like never before. You will have to be meticulous with tracking expenses.
Throughout my different business experiments, I have had to learn to accept failure. My stubborn nature doesn't allow me to accept failure early on. I spend more time trying to make sure that I am not quitting on the idea. Sunk cost fallacy applies to me every time.
Until I am speaking to other people, I do not realize how many things I have picked up from a failed business. The other day, I heard people talk about needing to outsource some things but were afraid about how to do it. I have done so much outsourcing that I would call that a skill I have an expertise on. Hiring a remote team to work on a project that is based on result than time - isn't as simple as I thought it was after so many years of practice.
In the last 3 years, my skills have improved, especially since dedicating myself to writing frequently. Also meeting other hustlers through writing has helped me to identify how to improve myself. If it wasn't for my health setbacks, I feel like I have accumulated enough lessons to do another launch.
