I was working on some book template yesterday. For one of the questions, I wrote that I wanted my book to be relatable - something like the show 'A Different World'. Then I started to think that I want to know more about the show.
As an Ethiopian who first watched it back home, how was I able to relate to it so much? Every week, I got so engrossed in it. I have since watched the entire show at least 3 times. And I plan to still watch it again.
I want to understand what made that show so special to me. I need to be able to capture the relatability of a show like that and translate that into my writing. I know it is not an easy thing to do, but it is worth the try.
