I spent some time with ChatGPT - like I tend to do ever since I discovered it. Following up on my plan to get some summaries and actionable list for some skills. Here is what ChatGPT has advised:
----------------------------------
My Question: Give me a list of 12 skills that will transform me as a person if I focused the year to learning.
ChatGPT:
The 12 skills are:
1. Communication
2. Time management
3. Leadership
4. Adaptability
5. Creativity
6. Emotional intelligence
7. Problem-solving
8. Resilience
9. Initiative
10. Teamwork
11. Intercultural competency
12. Empathy
----------------------------------------
I agree with most of the skills listed here. I didn't really think about intercultural competency - maybe because that isn't something I have to think about. I already think about 2-3 cultures by default.
The rest seem like a good list. So next I asked for the top books for those topics.
I got that list with a few books repeating in some sections.
Then I got the actionable summaries.
And at that point, I felt like I will need to read the books. I liked creating my own actionable summaries because I remembered each lesson better. So maybe, I could add to the actionable summary list after I read the books. Otherwise the ideas may not stick and it would take me longer to build up the skill.
