Slinky

Today I am walking this dog named Slinky while I write this blurb. I've been walking Slinky just about every day since the start of the year when I met him and his parents through the dog walking app, Rover. He is a tiny little weiner dog who love belly rubs and treats and he always curls up into a ball on my lap whenever I come over to his house to greet him. I thought walking him was gonna be easy. But turns it out it kind of sucks. He just constantly barks and tries to attack any person or dog he sees (which happens like 20 times a walk). At first I was pretty embarrassed so I just avoided the sidewalks and stuck to the alleys, but then I realized nobody really minded and in fact most people thought it was cute that a little weiner dog was barking at them and trying to attack. I always try telling him to leave it and to chill out, but I'm no dog trainer or anything. I think maybe his parents selected me because they secretly thought I was gonna fix their broken dog somehow, but they'll probably have to figure something else out. Anyways I just thought it was kind of odd how inside his house Slinky is so chill and kind, but as soon as he's on the leash he's a menace. Reminds me of driving with my mom. Outside the car she's so sweet and kind, but as soon as she gets stuck in traffic she starts yelling at every car that passes by. I guess when some people lose control everything starts to feel like a threat, and the only way the know how to react is to bark and honk haha. even if it's not who they really are
