The scenery was grander than where she grew up. She looked at him. A mini version of his dad or maybe her dad. Depending on the light of the day how his hair fell. He was staring out the window. Passing by cows, sheep and some sort of pheasant. Groups of friends all grey haired were in the front of the bus and the back. Pretending they were young again. Though he didn’t seem to care. He liked his seat by the window. He turned and mentioned that at school they were reading about them, the pheasants. That they were strange birds because they just preferred to run. Well they can kind of fly but not so well. He looked back out the window again. Sheep passed by through the window, and there were deer at the top of the hill he pointed. She sat on the other side of the bus to him. Not looking out her window, but at him the whole time.
