I must have written several posts on 200WAD and Adagia about the futility of the silver bullet.
It just occurred to me this morning it may actually have some benefits.
Here's the idea, for someone to be really good at something, mostly an art, you have to see it as a silver bullet.
A budding artist sees everything as a canvas; tables, walls, every single book they come across and etc.
Someone who loves decoupling and fixing gadgets, if you tell them you've got a headache don't be surprised if they ask if you've tried a screwdriver
This became obvious to me when I saw the need to get better at communication and it dawned on me that the very first step to that is to see communication in everything or better still to see communication as a solution to every problem I come across.
I found that interesting.

What makes it good is flipping a common idea on its head and suggesting a new thought that is both interesting and useful
