Growing up, I loved John Maxwell books. I read a lot of them.
The one with the strongest impression on me then was Today Matters. It's like 12 books in one.
In that book, John Maxwell shared a story of a certain Liz Murray - a young woman who went from being homeless to Harvard.
The story was so inspirational, I wanted to know more about Liz Murray. I searched and read. I read all I could about Liz Murray.
I found out a movie was actually made to document Liz's inspirational journey. Guess What? I searched the whole internet to get the movie. This was in the mid-2000s when downloading something from the internet using Internet Explorer was a tedious task if you know what I mean. Well, except you're using LimeWire.
I found the movie "Homeless to Harvard - The Liz Murray Story". I really can't remember anything about the movie except the fact that I knew it was poorly made.
That's my earliest memory of being nerdy.
