Acceptance

Acceptance is acknowledging present circumstances & the implications — good and bad — that they bring.

Acceptance is having compassion and love for the individuals we surround ourselves with.

Acceptance is having compassion and love for yourself.

Acceptance is recognizing problems instead of denying them.

Acceptance can be difficult — in particular for the truths we find inconvenient or unexpected.

Acceptance, though difficult, also tends to reward in the long-term in the form of change, altered trajectories, and new-found ways of doing things.

Acceptance is the gate keeper of progress; without it very little can change.
