There’s a common plague today. It strikes programmers more than any other group. It’s the plague of endless learning. Watching tutorials like it’s a life mission.
I think this herd behavior was picked up unconsciously. It’s an artifact of the fading away 6-3-3-4 schooling system. The kind of learning where you learn without applying for a long period of time. It’s archaic. It doesn’t apply now.
The best way to learn now is;
Step 1: a timed crash course
Step 2: Learn as and when needed
This isn’t a general rule - medicine and etc. But for most digital workers, that’s the way to go.
Learn. Apply. Repeat.
Do all you can to shorten the learning to application period.
