Georgie sneezed really loudly, the sun glaring down upon him, as he left the building and started walking towards his car. Whenever he went outside on a bright sunny day this happened to him. Once in high school a woman witnessed him doing this and told him that this was a condition called photic sneeze reflex and that it only happened to 13% percent of people. Georgie loved learning this because it made him feel unique and whenever he sneezed in-front of his friends he would tell them this fact, but they never really believed him that this was some rare phenomena and claimed that this happened to everyone. And Georgie would try to convince them that he had this unique ability, but no one cared.

When Georgie got home he turned on the TV and sat on his couch. He worked the graveyard shift at his job and would usually arrive at his house just as his roommate, Ivan was leaving for work. Today, however, he had missed Ivan because he was held up after work by his Boss. Georgie usually worked pretty hard, while he was at work that is. He always showed up late and would constantly sneak out for smoke breaks and chats with his co-workers. His supervisors usually loved him though because he was charismatic and had a knack for being in the right place and the right time. Georgie was kind of dreading the meeting because he was expecting to be fired or demoted somehow. And during the day all the misdeeds he had done at work played through his mind. Like the time he had secretly hung mannequin hands form the ceiling or when he had stolen 5 packets of masks to bring home to his house or the those times he would take 3 hour lunch breaks and happened to return just in the knick of time. His boss Mark Shuda, never really connected Georgie to these hijinks and would always suspect one of his other other coworkers. After talking to Mark for a couple minutes, Georgie was relieved and realized that he wasn’t in trouble at all, in fact Mark was recommending him for the open manager position on his shift. Georgie hadn’t thought at all about applying for the position, the extra work being undesirable not to mention the fact that he assumed he’d never be seriously considered for the job. But Mark was pretty adamant that Georgie should apply and he even told Georgie that he would likely receive the promotion should he apply. Maybe being a manager wouldn’t be so bad. Sure he probably couldn’t show up late or disappear as often and he’d have to work a little longer, but the old manager didn’t seem to do all that much. He mostly walked around chatting with Georgie’s coworkers and sat around meetings most of the day. Not to mention he’d make $30 an hour a big increase from his current wages of $23 an hour. He only had about $2000 in savings and he was 27. Maybe it was time he saved more and started investing in Bitcoin or something.

Georgie lied down on his couch, the office was playing in the background. He tried shutting his eyes but he wasn’t sleepy at all. He had to get some rest during the day because there was this party at Travis’s house that Georgie was going to go to with a couple people from his work later. Maybe some weed would help him fall asleep. His roommate didn’t let him smoke in the house, so he had to rely mainly on weed gummies to get him through the day. He rifled through all the empty containers and bags littering the coffee table and floor. It looked like he only had a couple gummies left. That wouldn’t be nearly enough to knock him out. What he really needed was a huge bong hit. That would definitely do the trick. He didn’t have any weed left back from his weed smoking days, but he definitely had a bong. Georgie took out his phone and texted his coworker and former drug dealer, Marquis. Marquis should definitely have something for him.
This is really good. really funny too. especially this line:
