Ideas don't have departments

“Ideas don’t have departments” — Matt Sheley, Global Senior Manager, Customer Experience @ Cook Medical
It’s important to be good at coding if you’re a software engineer.

It’s important to be good at analysis if you’re a data analyst.

It’s important to be good at selling if you’re a sales rep.

Being able to perform well within the context of your role is a basic requirement.

But it’s also normal to take interest in other aspects of your organization and formulate ideas about them.
Any time you think you have a helpful idea, it’s probably worth sharing.

And it would behoove any continuously improving institution to consider good ideas — regardless of where they come from.

Good ideas don’t have departments.
