The problem vs your thoughts about it

On some level, problems are immutable:

A broken faucet is a broken faucet.

A challenging professional relationship is a challenging professional relationship.

An underperforming quarter is an underperforming quarter.

On the other hand, you have a great deal of freedom when it comes to the thoughts you use to frame a problem — both in terms of how you see it presently and how you choose to move forward in light of it.

So what’s it gonna be?

A headache or a unique learning opportunity?

A period of angst or a period of growth (sometimes it can be a little bit of both!)?

In case it’s not clear yet: you get to choose.
