Now that the renovations have almost ended, it is time to put my study back again. I had previously made attempts to tidy up my cables, but it didn't quite work out as well as I planned. This time I am going to take a more structured approach to it.
Firstly, I started by mounting the television on the wall, installing a power outlet just behind it. Therefore, all the cables will be hidden behind the tv. Next, I have purchased a cabinet for all the devices to reside in. It will be big enough to fit all the devices, as well as the cabling, reducing the visual eyesore of devices spread all over the place and cabling running everywhere. The last part of the puzzle is a simple under desk basket. This should be sufficient to hold power outlets and cables for my desk devices, so they don't hang down and are less noticeable when you enter the room.
This will not be a straightforward task, and I suspect I will spend most of the weekend setting up my study. I hope I have all the right pieces and get a result that doesn't have cable lying everywhere.
