The ideal temperature

Today was a bit of a warm day and one to test out our new air conditioning. Last year, we had cooling installed in every room in the house. So there will be no doubt that when the sweltering days turn up, the whole place will be habitable and very comfortable.

When you have so much control over the temperature in your house that everyone would be happy. Well, this is not the case. When I set the house at the temperature I like, 22 degrees Celsius, it is too cold for others in the house. They want to have it at 24 degrees Celsius. So, this begs the question, what is the right temperature for ultimate comfort.

The most common advice suggests that around 21-22 degrees Celcius is the ideal and healthiest temperature for inside living all year round. This advice suits my argument and the temperature that I found the most comfortable.

The issue for others in the house is not the temperature but the cool breeze blowing from the ceiling vents. A cool breeze blowing directly on you can make you feel colder, so I will need to do something about that if that is the issue. Redirecting the vents or closing off a few vents is probably the answer. We will see how we go.
That's a nice temp, but if I set my A/C to that during the summer I would have an outrageous electric bill. I thought I was daring to set my summer temp to 25 degrees C.
