I joined a book club a few months ago. Since then I have read 3 books that they recommended. I liked 2 of the 3.
The club does a mix of fiction and non-fiction which I had started to do a lot myself. So reading the book selected for the month wasn't that bad. I am also happy to be introduced to books that I may never have heard of - if it wasn't for the group.
The best part of the book club for me is the like minded people in there. It is an all female book club and they are all very supportive of each other. Many of them have their own businesses and motivate each other to keep pushing. They all live in the area and pre-COVID would also meet in person.
I am currently reading a book called Who Not How. The older I am getting, the more I believe that your network had a big impact.
