These days while in too many meetings I think about how work relationships were more than just about the work. It is quite difficult to maintain and grow professional relationships when every interaction is topic and time stamped with some professional function,
Maybe this is why a lot of meetings are so unproductive. Maybe why so many are willing tolerate having "purposeless" meetings. Because we are missing something deeply that once was.
