Napping

I woke up tired this morning.
I know I was dreaming a lot so I expected Oura to tell me I had great REM sleep. But I didn't see what I expected when I saw the app. My sleep score was a 74 and my energy was a 71. I had resumed drinking coffee recently due to the odd hours of classes I was taking. I think that has affected my sleep.

Anyway, after running some errands, I returned home around 1pm in the afternoon. I sat in front of my computer and tried to get some creative work done. My mind refused. So closed my curtains, turned on rain sounds and went to sleep. I woke up after almost 3 hours feeling very good. 

I looked at my Oura scores again. After adjusting for my nap, I got a new score of 87 for my energy and 81 for my sleep. I didn't know naps were this good for our wellbeing. 

Maybe, instead of staying up late, I could do short naps during the day instead. 
Actually, if working from home continues to be a thing, napping for lunch may be a great habit to build.
