Today was a great day. 2 big things happened.
1. My dad arrived from Ethiopia. I always prefer to have him close by. I can go back to the walks and talks we used to have if the weather will decide to co-operate.
2. I met the instructors of one of the courses I was taking in a live meet session. Bozoma Saint John. She is the CMO - Chief Marketing Officer of Netflix. Her family is from Ghana in West Africa and she is very pan-African in what she does. The course she taught made me learn a lot about personal branding along with a few things that would have helped me in my long tenure in corporate America.
There is something very confident and interesting about this Boz. I got more from the course than I expected. Talking to her live also confirmed that she is exactly how she seemed in the course recordings.
The best part of taking her course was meeting up with like minded ladies from around the world and getting motivated to push harder at things that matter.
A very nice and exciting day.
