I am a little excited this evening.
There is a small possibility that I may travel in 3 weeks.
I applied to attend a conference in Dubai sometime back. I just got confirmation yesterday that I was accepted. The interesting part is that it is happening smack on my birthday.
There are several logistics that need to be taken care of before I can travel.
1. I need to either renew my passport or get an emergency one since I need it in less than 4 weeks.
2. I will need to secure my visa to Dubai in time.
3. Most important - I have several doctor's appointments around the second week of March. They will have to clear me to travel.
If all my conditions are met, I will visit the city for the first time.
I can't help feeling excited. I also want to get a few things off my to do list so I can use the trip as a reward for what I will complete in the next 4 weeks.
