I misread a requirement for my passport. I thought it asked me for something I didn't have. I don't remember where and if I still have that document. And looking online - it will take at least 5 weeks to get a replacement.
I was surprised at how much the possibility of not going to Dubai affected my moods. It was the best evidence of how much I am excited to be there.
My sister urged me to read the requirements again before giving up. So I did. And to my surprise, she was right. I don't need that specific document and if I am able to get my passport renewed with 5 business days of my appointment, I should be good to go to my trip.
I wasted a few days last week because of this error. I intend to make up for this before my trip. Exactly 2 weeks left to the trip.
