When the pandemic first forced the Zoom-Zoom to curtail club activities, the committee was sure it would also impact the membership numbers. With little or no activities, members were less likely to renew their membership or, in some cases, they might have even sold their roadsters. So to support members, the club reduced the membership renewal fees by 25 per cent for the 2021 membership year.
However, two years later, club membership continues to grow, and for the first time, the club has exceeded 1,000 members. This is a fantastic result for a club that supports a single car marque. And it highlights how popular the Mazda MX-5 is, and this popularity is growing.
