Almost the first to get to the boarding area. Everything went smoothly.
The Uber driver that brought me to the airport was an Ethiopian... we got talking and he asked me if i was going back home. Then I told him that I was traveling to Dubai. He was there in 2018 for his honeymoon and loved the place.
He continued to tell me what are the great things to do. What to watch out for. And how the culture is similar and different from back home and the US. The long 45 minute trip to the airport went by quickly and I got a lot of good information.
The one thing I loved and am already looking forward to is the food. Dubai is so close to Ethiopia that apparently I can get a 100% authentic Ethiopian food experience. In addition, I am a fan of Mediterranean cuisine and spices. The tea variety is also great from what I found out.
The Nassumit is the icing on the birthday cake vacation. After a ridiculous stack of hurdles, I am ready for this trip. The question is - Is Dubai ready for me?
