Allotted Time (Fiction)

Today it's cloudy and grey and wet. At least as far as I can tell. I don't remember it raining. A fine mist is suspended in the air. While it's only the afternoon we have to have the lights on, and the heater on. You notice somethings a bit more now, like the cracks between the door and floor, and the restlessness of the neighbors. Neither of us should have been in here for that long. But its still not our time, or we haven't been announced. I guess its supposed to happen in alphabetical order I am not sure by first or last name. Either way I should have been called or should be called soon.

We then have the allotted time to view like the rest of them, even though everyone knows that the best time to look is in the afternoon. Thats when they get some extra minutes, its like the watchers are on lunch. The afternoon people always come back excited and more active. Recharged I guess. But I am stuck at A or B, and so have to keep to schedule. Every minute you go over you lose for the next day.

I don't really remember how it used to be, but I don't remember the limits. In the past I think you had unlimited access unlimited storage, but now there is an energy crisis and all that, and we can't store more than our neighbor, that wouldn't be fair.

A it was now my turn, and I log in automatically. Now I can view my whole life. To complement the weather it chose to show me my cold times, and the rainy times. When I was younger and more hair. I wonder if they do this for everyone, matched based on the mood. We aren't really supposed to ask, it can be a very rude thing to do.
