A Mountain of Mushrooms

One of the ingredients that I can eat a lot of is mushrooms. I looked into it to study its benefits and to check for anything I ought to be careful about. 

Based on my research, it is the superfood that I can eat every day. So this last week I tried various recipes to see what I could make with mushrooms. It is so versatile that I made many different things that were all delicious. 

So when I went grocery shopping today, I decided to buy a whole lot of it. I went to a store called restaurant depot. That is where people that have restaurants go to to get their ingredients. The size of the things sold there makes Costco look like a joke. I went striaght to the mushroom section and got myself 2 big boxes of shitake mushrooms. 

Shitake mushroom if allowed to dry well before seasoning almost has a meat texture. So when I arrived home, I put all the mushrooms in a large bowl and put it in the oven. Once all the water was out, I added spices and some oil and left it in the oven for another 30 minutes. 

Then I put it in a big container and into the fridge. In this form, the mushrooms will last almost a month without going bad. I am on top of this restrictive diet.
