RockWiz was an Australian music trivia quiz show focusing on rock music and featuring different guest artists every show. The format typically combined a lesser-known music artist with a well known Australian or international artist who led teams of contestants in a rock music trivia quiz.
You would be hard-pressed to find a rock quiz show that was better able to showcase the history of rock music than RockWiz. For the baby boomers, it brought back many great memories of the 60s, 70s and 80s. As a result, it became compulsory Saturday night viewing in our household.
Introduced with a"who can it be now" quiz, each musical guest entered the show singing a song they were well-known for. One of the show's key features was the duet the musical guests would sing at the end of the show. Backed by the "RocKwiz Orkestra", the shown ending duet was a feast of rock classics.
Unfortunately, the show is no more, but I suggest you do yourself a favour and search YouTube for "RockWiz Duets". The music highlights are great, and you won't be disappointed.
