His friend liked the attention. He liked every time he refreshed his feed more likes popped up. He thought about getting a girl parrot. So it was like a fist lady parrot. He thought about hats and all that T-shirts maybe. His wife was starting to get annoyed though. All her friends were asking her and the guy never spent time talking to her at night anymore. She hated the stupid parrot and wanted nothing else but it to fly away so they could stop this madness.
Just then Howard woke up in his dorm room. It was dark but he had left the window open so it was cold. That’s probably what had woken him up. The cold.
He had been on his small couch to the right of the bed. He went to get on his bed to shut the window. But there was someone else there. Ashleigh?
He looked around the room and there was no one else. He didn’t remember how he’d gotten there. He was out cold.
At the end of his bed there was a blanket that he wrapped around himself. Her breathing was soft and faint.
The street light trickled in and cast a block of light. The cars that drove by here and there he imagined them like waves crashing, and he felt relieved.
