He had been dreaming about a parrot. Strangely it was a parrot who was running for mayor. And even stranger he was an old man, married to Ashleigh, who was friends with the owner of this parrot. The two of them lived in a small town somewhere in the midwest. The dream felt so real. But now that he was awake he knew that it was a dream. How real it felt kept waning until he was no longer convinced that it was a sign of what would happen in the future. Instead it was just a fib of his mind while he snoozed.
He thought about telling the dream to Ashleigh. But that would be weird. Maybe she would find it too assertive of him to be dreaming about them married.
Howard kept himself wrapped in the blanket and headed towards the open window. closed it a bit only to leave it cracked slightly. He tried to recall the night and how he ended up here. The last memory he remembered was...
