"Finally" vs "yet another"

Not all well-intended actions are received as well-intended actions.

When you create a new initiative, a new meeting, or a new project try reading the room first.

 
Is there a sense of dread or disappointment? Does it feel like yet another activity?


Or is there a sense of relief? A sense that something is finally being done? 


Figure out which prefix — “finally” vs “yet another” — is in the minds of your stakeholders first.


If your stakeholders don’t see value, then the first imperative is to adjust the work & the way you frame it until they see value.


Otherwise the rest is moot.
