A wired headset

I told a buddy of mine that work comes down to using a keyboard, mouse, talking, and in his case a wired headset. I use a wireless headset, but then the joke was on me because I had to break down and get a wired headset all due to MS Teams.

My one client has proper settings for MS Teams. I can save my phone number, and it will call me when I launch the meeting. This automatically puts me into the meeting to view or share screens. This feature sometimes backfires on people because they don't answer the call, and then the rest of us hear that person's voicemail message.

My other client has different settings. There is no option to be called, so I have to deign to key a phone number if one is provided. This only gets me on the audio portion of the call, so I still need to join on the computer to view or share a screen. I have to turn the speaker down on the computer and hit mute, otherwise it will be an endless echo. Some Teams calls don't even have a phone number, so I have no choice but to use computer audio. It's these meetings that have forced my hand to use a wired headset.
