Sometimes you just want good BBQ

After the stretch appointment today, my friend and I made a pitstop to obtain materials for a particular experiment. After this pitstop, we were ready for lunch. I remembered that there's a BBQ place near where we were that I had never visited. It was on my radar because two different people recommended it to me. It looks unassuming from the road, but there is quite a large patio area with many picnic tables behind the building. It's also perfect weather for eating outside.

I usually test a new restaurant with a particular dish. When I was eating Chinese food, I always tested a new place with chicken fried rice. I have applied the same rule to BBQ joints with pulled pork. Unfortunately, a few years ago I had a bad experience with pulled pork, and I no longer have it in the rotation.

I decided to test this place with a hot sausage link and some smoked turkey. The food was delicious. There were two BBQ sauces offered: house and hot and sweet. Both were good, but I would have preferred one more sauce with a bit more of a kick. I do like spicy food. That's my only quibble with the offerings.

Time to let lunch settle and get some writing out of the way before our afternoon/evening experiment
