Hindsight offers a clarity that we rarely come into contact with when dealing with present challenges:
It allows us to piece together how certain events eventually led to growth and transformation.
It reminds us that the things we sweat over like final exams or deadlines are never quite the big deal we originally made them out to be.
It reveals to us what truly matters at the end of the day — for some people it is connections they make, for others it is the sweet taste of achieving a milestone.
Consider your current challenges and how you might look back on the journey after they have long passed: in what ways will you have grown, will the challenges have been as big of a deal as they seemed when you were facing them, what will really have mattered?
Sometimes considering how your future self will look back provides just the reassurance and clarity you need for the present.
Do you have a reason for why you think people can at the same time admit the power of hindsight but be unable to deploy it proactively?
