Lately, I have started to notice anxiety in people I talk to. I am not sure if I wasn't aware of it in the past or if people's level of anxiety is higher than usual. I also wasn't keeping in touch with a lot of people due to my own health issues so I really didn't interact with people much.

It looks like COVID has affected a lot of people in a severe way. I personally do not know of anyone that has had their loved one die of COVID but the isolation and reduction in human interaction is negatively affecting the everyday people a lot more.

Now as we go into the winter seasons, with a lot of talk of a recession and everything from crypto, the stock market and real estate falling, everyone seems miserable.

I tried to have deep conversations with a few people that I thought would like to indulge. But I found them to show signs of agitation and impatience. It is hard for me to ignore such hints - especially if I am meeting with them in person, one on one. Besides, changing the topic, I am not sure how to deal with this increasing trend.
My doctor said this to me as well. He says he thinks the pandemic and its consequences has changed people.

I am sure doctor's would notice it more than the average person too.
