If you build it, they will come.
From the movie Field of dreams to the Bible this advice has been given out to encourage people to make their ideas in reality and out there. Like nothing else is needed to gain fame and fortune from those ideas.
Unfortunately many good ideas have been lost and forgotten to obscurity even if they were built. Not all ideas are as good as they seem at first, others just fall short on execution. But even a good idea that also works on practice doesn't do anything if people don't know about it. At the same time many bad ideas and products have been sold for millions. It's all marketing.
Marketing and selling your ideas is an important part of getting out there. You could even start with that: go out with just an idea, and s promise of a finished product. See if anybody is interested, verify your idea. Only after that, if you find enough people interested you should start building it. And even after that you still need to make sure the word is spreading.
Or then you can build it just for the sake of it. Building can also be about the journey instead of the destination. Just enjoy the ride.
