About 2 years ago I started a small online hat brand called SPRK Hat Co. The project is currently on hold while I gain clarity around where I want to take it in the future. However, the essence of spark is to pursue what lights you up.
It's the initial combustion you feel that launches you into pursuing something that matters. A spark is powerful and can lead to something much greater. A powerful fire that spreads. However, it can't do that by itself. It has to catch onto something first, just as our ideas do.
I wrote this on the SPRK Hats "About" page, as this is the essence of what the spark is all about.

What’s your spark? What lights you up and makes you come alive?
Many of us have ideas to build, to create, to start something that matters, but few take action.
It’s hard to create something from nothing.
You’re vulnerable when you put yourself, and your work out into the world.
The spark is about moving forward despite the fear, interference and noise.
It’s about doing instead of just thinking.
It’s about creating instead of letting ideas fade in our minds.
And it’s about supporting and encouraging others that are brave and vulnerable enough to put their work, and ideas into the world.
Also were you wearing a SPRK hat in your old profile picture on 200WAD???
Yes, was wearing a SPRK hat in his profile pic. :) Good memory.
I wonder what project you would do now. I know you started out with writing what flows... but now I offer a challenge. Write what flows -- still -- but within one context. You can choose the context but once you choose it I would love to read daily posts (even just monday - friday ) just within that context.
I'm currently doing a memoir as my context. I really think there's so much to gain from writing about a single context for awhile.
