Stacey just had this and she was done for the day. Well she had to return the bus fill it up and all that. Go through and see what the kids left. Always something.
She liked for the most part this ride. A few bad kids. But you get that every year. No it was a good group. They were quiet as kids can be. She looked back through the rearview mirror. The one kid was quiet, always alone it broke her heart. When she was younger there was a time like that, she spent the bud rides alone.
Now she wished she got any alone time. On the account of her mom and Greg. Greg being her partner never got married technically. He didn’t do much. Everyday she came home and she found him right where she left him.
He had friends he told her they talked online. Sometimes he got out but mostly she did everything. Then there was her mom she lived on the other side of town. So she usually stopped there for a few hours after work. Just to say hi and check on things. She didn’t trust her calls. Not since she found the trash full and no food in the fridge.
Last stop, finally and she swung open the door. The quiet kid let everyone else off first. She couldn’t tell if that was nice or strange.
