Kevin liked the morning shift, he liked unlocking and unboxing, he liked the silence.
He was the first one in and then first one out. He also liked that, waving goodbye as the store was getting busy with people.
He unlocked the doors, pulled up the back gate. Then went around and checked the temperatures of all the fridges and freezers.
He’d then start the coffee for himself and he always made extra for the the next group. They were more customer facing. He was background, like a camera guy or something, but they were all still a team. He told his roommate about this.
“Like the late night guy always leaves me funny notes, he said I this one aisle three maybe slippery, beans everywhere earlier. Don’t know if you heard… You know like someone spilled the beans? But he was talking about Jens news. ”
His roommate looked at him then down at his lunch. He didn’t ask any follow up questions.
“So yeah I like it lots of cool people good vibes.”
Kevin also liked after work it was still light, he walked sometimes through a park, sometimes sitting on a bench. He liked he didn’t have to deal with rush hour.
